Our goal is to create positive living environments and improve the quality of life for our residents. This is accomplished by providing housing and programs through the Phenix City Housing Authority.

Quick Facts
  • Monthly rent is approximately 30% of monthly adjusted income.
  • Birth certificates and social security cards on all members who will live in the household are required.
  • Legal form of identification, such as driver's license or state issued identification required.
  • All sources of income, addresses and fax number if possible.
  • Names and addresses of current and previous landlords.
  • Other docuements will be required based on applicable situations.
  • PCHA will rely on direct verification from your employer, etc. You will be asked to sign a form to authorize release of pertinent information to PCHA.

Phenix City Housing Authority's Role

PCHA is responsible for the management and operation of its local
public housing program as follows:

  • Assures compliance with leases

  • Perform periodic reexaminations of the family's income and deductions at least once every 12 months

  • Terminates leases when necessary

  • Maintains decent, safe and sanitary apartments
